Shop Safely Online?
Providing you with a secure online experience is a high priority of HBN's. We recognize that your privacy and security are of the utmost importance, and we have devoted a great deal of effort to ensure that your personal information is safeguarded. Please read our Privacy/Security Policy.
To help protect your credit card number and personal information, we encrypt every order. Encryption is a process by which we use software to scramble your credit card number and personal information in transit to HBNGroup.org. HBNGroup.org utilizes industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and critically sensitive information like your credit card number.
Shopping at HBNGroup.org is dedicated to providing a safe, friendly, and easy place to shop. Part of being a smart shopper, however, is using common sense to ensure your privacy, safety, and satisfaction. Below are some suggestions that will help you get the most out HBNGroup.org shopping.

Use a secure browser.

This is the software you use to navigate the Internet. Your browser should comply with industry security standards, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). These standards scramble the purchase information you send over the Internet, helping to secure your transaction. Most computers come with a browser installed. You also can download some browsers for free over the Internet.

Keep your password(s) private.

Be creative when you establish a password, and never give it to anyone. Avoid using a telephone number, birth date, or a portion of your Social Security number. Instead, use a combination of numbers, letters, and symbols.

Pay by credit or charge card.

If you pay by credit or charge card online, your transaction will be protected by the Fair Credit Billing Act. Under this law, consumers have the right to dispute charges under certain circumstances and temporarily withhold payment while the creditor is investigating them. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit or charge card, you are generally held liable only for the first $50 in charges. Some companies offer an online shopping guarantee that ensures you will not be held responsible for any unauthorized charges made online, and some cards may provide additional warranty, return and/or purchase protection benefits.

Browser security signals.

Most web browsers comply with industry security standards, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Many browsers display a "closed lock" icon at the bottom of the browser window when you are in secure mode.

You can also check the URL shown in the Address window of your browser. On a secure site, the web address should begin with "https" (rather than the normal "http"). Check your browser's Help menu for more information.

Guard Your Privacy.

Keep your personal information secure. You should not need to provide your Social Security number to make a purchase. Read the merchant's privacy policy to understand how they treat your personal information.

Keep Good Records.

Print and save your order confirmations and track your purchases. Also, you should know that the federal Mail/Telephone Order Merchandise Rule covers online orders. This means that unless states otherwise, merchandise must be delivered within 30 days; and if there are delays, the company must notify you.
