| Hellenic Business Network (HBN) offers several internship positions. Interns will have the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment where they are to experience first hand the excitement and practical understanding for how individual excellence and policy is developed and applied. |
| It is a very exciting time for HBN with grand public relations events and advertising campaigns planned for 2006-2007. In addition Interns will have the opportunity to learn and be a part of special event production, media relations, promotions, communications and branding. |
| The interns will work closely with the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for guidance and direction. Interns work 10-20 hours per week primarily afternoons, evenings and some weekends with flexibility to accommodate a busy class schedule. |
| A minimum six month commitment is required. Interns will not be paid hourly wages or a salary, but may be provided a stipend. |
| We currently have internships available in the following areas. | - Journalist/Writer
We are always looking for great writers, with strong research, communication and organization skills. Interns will work closely with the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee in editing and fact-checking features as well as working with the layout and publication of the website. They will see the tangible results of their work made available to readers worldwide. |
- Marketing / Public Relations
We are looking for very creative, very dynamic people-persons to assist with the development and implementation of HBN's marketing plan, the writing and pitching of press releases to the media, the development of in-house advertising campaigns, the exploration of new opportunities for exposure on the Internet, and the coordination of public relations efforts. Must be motivated, high-energy, articulate, with fantastic writing and marketing skills. |
- Graphic Artist
Must have experience Illustrator and Photoshop, Pagemaker. Knowledge of digital photography and packaging a plus. |
- Software Engineering
Experience with Web Development, e-commerce, Java, JSP, J2EE (IBM WebSphere), IBM Lotus Domino Web Development, Excel, SQL, Relational Databases. | |
Qualifications: Must be pursuing a college degree. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and must be able to work approximately 10 - 20 hours per week, days and times are flexible. These internships will be for the fall and spring semester. FOR COLLEGE CREDIT ONLY - MUST HAVE APPROVAL FROM SCHOOL. |
